Most of today’s feature films are still shot in film; something many do not know. I would like to shoot practically everything on film because I just like the look. It’s the real thing. Like music from a record on a high quality turntable, there is a difference. Would you substitute an electric piano for a Steinway in a concert hall?

CSI owns six cameras and 5 are digital.
My dad was a very accomplished painter and worked as a commercial photographer. I am a mechanical engineer, musician and cameraman. I can write a technical script but someone else will edit it. I will cut the garbage out of material shot during the day but it will all go to a professional editor who will turn it into a film. I have been a pilot since the age of eighteen and so my passion for airplanes is clear. I have also worked as a Deep Sea captain for 14 years and so I understand the marine world.
We will quite naturally select subjects we understand and so that frames our filmmaking passions.
